Is Mercy Killing Right or Wrong?

Euthanasia is also known as mercy killing or assisted suicide or doctor assisted termindor of life. It is an act of homocide that is usually carried out to end the life of a who is suffering from extreme, incurable pain or illness. In individual who is tormented by a terminal illness may wish to and his/her own life. but does not have the ability to do it without any help. He/She may request assistance from another person. This is illegal in most, but not all countries of the world. Some locals allow it, as long as strict guidlines are followed and procedure is conducted by a medical proffessional, on the appeal of the patient or where the patient himself is not in position to give a valid consent on the application of his guardian.
There are two types of euthanasia- Active and Passive. Active euthanasia involves direct action on the part of a physician to ensure the death of a patient. There are a number of different ways in which this can be done, though the most commonly is overdose of medication that is used to reduce pain. By using this type of method, active euthanasia usually involve no pain for a person, and simply shuts the person physiological system down as he/she sleeps. Passive Euthanasia is withdrawal of life supporting system of terminally ill patient there by leaving it to the nature.
From all these studies, some questions arise:
  • IS mercy killing right?
I just want to give the answer of this question- if he/she was wanted to die and there was nothing else Docters could do for him or her then 'YES'. I would not want these people to be in no more pain.
  • Should Euthanasia be legalized?
I again want to give the answer of this question- Life is a gift and even a painful one it is a life atleast.
some people feels we should not be given the right to choose when to die. However some feel that painful is an imposition we should be allowed to end in some typical circumstances.
  • Should India allow mercy killing?
Former Chess champion K. vankatesh, Who was terminally ill, died after a futile wait for the courts to accept his plea. for Euthanasia so that he could donate his organs. His eyes were donated after his death but now other organ could be transplanted as the 25 years old had been on a ventilator for a long period.
  • Indian Laws allows organ donation only if a person is declared brain dead, What you think how many people are in favour of  Euthanasia?
As my opinion most of the people are in favour of mercy killing but hardly typical circumstances and in some incurable conditions, On the Doctor N.D.T.V opinion poll people have voted 67% in favoiur of Euthanasia and 33% in disfavour.
  • Now i'll tell you what are the reasons for Euthanasia?
  1. Unbearable Pain
  2. Right to commit Suicide
  3.  People should not be forced to stay alive.
  • Unbearable Pain as the reasonj for Euthanasia?
Euthanasia advocates stress the cases of unbearable pain as reason for Euthanasia, but then they soon include a 'Drugged' state. In some rare circumstances the pain which is incurable and can't be eliminated then this unbearable pain cause of Euthanasia.
  • Demanding a "Right to commit suicide?
Probably the second most common point pro-Euthanasia people bring up is this so called 'Rigth'. But Euthanasia is not about the right to die. It's about the right to kill.
  • Should people not be forced to stay alive?
No and neither the law or medical ethics  requires that 'everything be done' to keep a person alive. Insistence, againest the patient's wishes that death be postponed by every means available is contrary to law and practise. It would also be cruel and inhuman.
  • Some Quotations on Euthanasia?
"I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, not suggest any such counsel."
  • By the Hippcratic oath (Father of medicine"Greek physician Hippcrates")
You Matter because you are you, you matter to the last moment of your life and we will so all we can not only to help you die peacefully but also to live until you die.......
In conclusion, i say that i share my views with Honerable Supreme court's recent judgement that in rase cases of extreme sufferings in terminally ill people provisions of Euthanasia can be invoked.
